4. Disable the automatic update and automatic download

PlayStore app, social media app, and chat app sometimes set to automatically download  files, chat app default setting may automatically download image/videos that received,  besides that, cloud applications will also automatically sync files to and from the smartphone.

My advice is you should only update / download applications or files needed, you can also turn off automatic sync.

The purpose of this method is to prevent unwanted new file increases, it is also useful for saving battery, save RAM / accelerates performance, saves internet quota and speed up your smartphone internet data connection.

a. Open the PlayStore app

b. press the left menu (next to the writing google play),

d. select the auto-update apps

How to disable the automatic download chat applications (examples):

a. Open a chat application

b. Open the app settings

c. Search options about automatic download pictures / video, when the option is enabled, you can disable it.

5. Move all apps that can be moved to external memory

Each smartphone has different ability and features. generally, you can move applications from internal storage to an external storage (sd card), almost all applications can be moved, except ROM app and the application that works in the background such as social media applications, chat, messenger, widgets, and similar applications.

6. Move all files photos, video, music, documents to external memory

Use internal storage only for applications and to store temporary files, I suggest to use the internal storage only when needed.

This method aims to keep your files not lost if at any time your smartphone encountered a problem and it must be hard reset.

Transferring files from the internal storage to an external memory card (sd card) aims to keep the internal more durable and give more space to the application and applications data.

External Memory (MMC / sd card) can be replaced and upgraded to a higher capacity, other than that you can take it off to be managed using a computer device.

7. Change the default file storage location apps to a memory card

Camera, web browser, and similar applications generally use internal storage as a default storage.

- Camera's photos saved in the DCIM folder of internal storage

- Downloaded files will be stored in the download folder of internal storage.

8. Compress photos, music, and video.

The Photo that generated by smartphones varied, the better the image quality, the image size will generally be greater. By compressing photos / mp3 / video files you can save a lot of space in storage.

Prior to compress the photos / music / videos make sure you are backing up the files to the PC.
